On 29th November Commissioner Navracsics announced the introduction of a Seal of Excellence for MSCA. It will be awarded to proposals under the European Fellowships that score at least 85% but for which there is insufficient funding through the MSCA budget. The Seal will provide excellent researchers with a recognition of quality and also enable them and the hosting institution with whom they applied to seek alternative sources of funding.

The IRC Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) COFUND Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme entitled CAROLINE – ‘Collaborative Research Fellowships for a Responsive and Innovative Europe’ will provide experienced researchers** with an opportunity to obtain a prestigious research mobility and career development Fellowship.

On 8 November 2016, the Opening Ceremony of the 20th Anniversary will take place in the Berlaymont building, Brussels, with one itinerary exhibition of the famous researcher featuring key moments of her life and a photo exhibition of MSCA fellows. Commissioner Tibor Navracsics and members of his Cabinet as well as stakeholders and EU Staff will attend.

“Research Careers in Europe” is a study with an evaluative character. It addresses the following three specific topics: 1) perception and promotion of research careers; 2) dual careers in research; 3) research career restart.

REP-EAT is a new and innovative research and training Doctoral Programme co-funded by Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions COFUND, the Abruzzo Region, and the University of Teramo (UniTE) in the interdisciplinary domain of food and healthy diet to deepen the impact of food quality on reproductive health (REP) and eating disorders (EAT).

EDGE is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie COFUND Action, led by Trinity College Dublin on behalf of 10 Irish academic institutions of excellence. EDGE will award 24 and 36 month Fellowships to 71 high-calibre post-doctoral researchers, who will relocate to Ireland to join expert supervisors in the ICT and Materials field.
