In the framework of Work Package (WP) 3 “Tackling Societal Challenges: Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in a Bio-based Economy”, the Danube-INCO.NET project is carrying out a mapping exercise aimed to identify the most relevant stakeholders active in the field of energy efficiency, renewable energy and the bioeconomy in the Danube Region.

Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy makes part of the Societal Challenges defined in Horizon-2020 (H2020) Program. This Program covers the period of time 2014-2020. Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy deals with the following main areas: Energy efficiency (EE), Competitive Low-Carbon Energy (LCE), Smart cities and communities, SMEs and Fast Track to Innovation for Energy.H2020 calls for 2014-2015 were published on 11.12.2013. The list of forthcoming calls is presented herein below.

The Info Day and brokerage event on the 2015 call for proposals for Smart Cities and Communities under Horizon 2020 will take place on Thursday 12 February 2015 in the Charlemagne Building (in Brussels).This call aims at developing solutions that integrate energy, transport and ICT through lighthouse projects. More details about the objectives and requirements of the call will be given in the morning session.

This report covers the history and budgets of FPs, objectives, project portfolio, project participants, project budget and EC contribution, outcomes & impacts, programme level results, area level results (technological), impacts on participants, European Added Value and other issues.
