European Smart Specialisation Platform on Energy - launch, May 26, 2015, Brussels

This conference will launch the joint initiative of the Directorates-General for Regional and Urban Policy, Energy, and the Joint Research Centre (JRC) to set up a platform on smart specialisation on energy.This platform will collaborate with interested regions/countries to:(i) analyse current energy priorities and policies, and(ii) identify good practices as well as priorities and roadmaps for bottom-up trans-regional and transnational cooperation to accelerate the development and deployment of energy technologies. More info on:

18th European Forum on Eco-Innovation, May 20-21, 2015, Barcelona

The 18th European Forum on Eco-Innovation will be held in Barcelona, from 20 to 21 May 2015. The Forum will explore how to strengthen competitiveness and innovation, in particular of SMEs, through environmental labelling, management and information schemes. As responsibles for the set up of the Environmental Technology Verification pilot programme, the JRC together with DG Environment will deliver the first official Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Statements to technology developers at the forum.The JRC will also present ETV at the exhibition. More info on:
