October 2016 is European Cyber Security Month and will bring plenty of opportunities for people to discover how to stay safe online and play an active role in their own security.

The European Commission (DG CONNECT, Unit "Cloud and Software") is consulting all interested stakeholders on the future research and innovation challenges in the area of Cloud Computing to be addressed in the forthcoming H2020 LEIT ICT Work Programme 2018-2020.

All interested stakeholders (industry, research centres, academia, SMEs and users) are invited to contribute. The consultation will run from Monday, 5 September until Monday, 10 October 2016.

European Commission has opened a public call for applications to extend membership of the high-level expert group on quantum technologies to include Type B and Type C members.

Type B members are "individuals applying to be appointed to represent a common interest shared by stakeholders in a particular policy area" and Type C members are "organisations".
