Call for tenders: Smart factories in new EU Member States

The call for tender "Smart factories in new EU Member States" has been recently published.

The goal of this service contract is to develop a coherent, coordinated and sustainable approach to support industry of new EU Member States in adopting the smart factory concept and its relevant digital technologies. Cyber-physical-systems (CPS), Internet of things (IoT), digital design, simulation and analytics, advanced laser-based technologies, industrial robotics, 3D printing, etc. are some of the related digital technologies. 

This initiative is in line with the activities carried out by the European Commission to strengthen industry's competitiveness in Europe by supporting its digital transformation. In particular it will contribute to the efforts to build a network of digital innovation hubs in Europe, where companies, especially SMEs, can have access to expertise, development and testing facilities of digital technologies, as well as finance and innovation services.
