Lithuania and Switzerland have announced a joint call for research project proposals. Research organisations and companies from both countries are invited to submit joint project proposals for collaborative industry-led R&D projects aimed at creating new products, processes and services for civilian applications. The call will formally open on May 20, 2015 and the deadline for the submission of the proposals is June 26, 2015 at 17:30 PM.
This joint call is open to all technological areas, with a special focus given to the following fields of research and development:
· ICT/software;
· photonics;
· manufacturing industries;
· nanotechnologies;
· health applications.
The Agency for Science, Innovation and Technologies of Lithuania (mita) and the Swiss State Secretary for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), will provide access to public funding for joint projects, in accordance with national funding rules. The call is managed using the EUREKA platform for trans-borders innovation. Project applications should be submitted using the EUREKA-Eurostars project outline template.
The project partners should include at least one Lithuanian and one Swiss entity. Companies from other countries may also participate; they will not be funded by mita or by SERI but according to their own national regulation.
