Description:

One Health recognizes the existential interconnectedness of humans, animals and their shared environment. It is key to ensuring the healthy and sustainable future of the planet and the people, flora and fauna that live on it. One Health encompasses topics such as inter-species transmission of infectious agents (zoonoses), antimicrobial resistance, economics of One Health programs, and One Health in sustainable food systems. This webinar features a range of international speakers who will introduce several One Health-related topics as they pertain to HEOR, with a view gauging interest in the formation of an ISPOR Animal and One Health Special Interest Group (SIG). The One Health-related topics are:

  1. Strategies around the One Health theme as they relate to the animal health pharma industry
  2. Sustainable agri-food opportunities in East Africa: healthy food, healthy people, healthy planet
  3. Outcome measurement in canine osteoarthritis
  4. Using human health data to explore human-animal health interactions

After attending this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the application of HEOR to improve animal and One Health decision-making
  • Recognize the value of providing a SIG platform to share learning and best practice across animal-One Health-human HEOR through collaboration, leveraging knowledge across disciplines, global networking, and educational activities
