Description:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions, ICPerMed decided to go virtual and move the event to an online platform. During two half-days, ICPerMed will discuss and promote solutions and strategies on how to successfully implement personalised medicine approaches.
Supported by the European Commission, the conference will take place at the same dates on February 25-26, 2021 on a virtual platform from 13:00 to 19:00 CET. The conference will gather renowned speakers bringing their expertise on patient preferences, data harmonisation, PM implementation into healthcare systems, collaboration between academia and industry and, finally, on health economics aspects. The programme will be constituted of five sessions with each having two 20 minutes presentations followed by a 40 min panel discussion widening up the topic of the session.
During the conference, ICPerMed will be committed to demonstrate the importance and the need to address personalised medicine challenges through the prism of four critical pillars focusing on data & technology, intersectoral synergies, education & literacy and healthcare reforms.
A session on “The challenges to a Personalised Medicine Approach for infectious diseases – Lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic (Working title)” will be dedicated to the COVID-19 pandemic and how personalised medicine approaches could be part of the solutions.
Furthermore, ICPerMed will feature and honour during the event best practices in personalised medicine research through the ICPerMed Recognition 2020, aiming to recognise, encourage, promote and disseminate outstanding examples.
