The 5th international conference of the Joint Programming Initiative ‘A HEALTHY DIET FOR A HEALTHY LIFE’The 5th international conference of the Joint Programming Initiative ‘A Healthy Diet for a Healthy Life’ will take place on February 20, 2019 in Brussels. We are inviting a wide variety of stakeholders from the area of food, nutrition and health to discuss the state of the art in the field of JPI HDHL and look towards the future. With this future in mind, we have given our conference the theme Diet as leverage point towards a healthy and sustainable food system. The objective of JPI HDHL is to improve the impact of R&I investments in food, nutrition, health and physical activity to counter the increasing burden of diet-related non-communicable diseases. There is a lot we do not know yet about the relation between diet and health as well as to influence dietary behavior. Research and innovation efforts in close collaboration with policy are needed to fill these knowledge gaps.
