ICAPP 2015 will address advances in nuclear power plants in a broad sense, not only covering technological progress in reactors and associated nuclear fuel cycles, but also extending to broader applications of nuclear power, such a cogeneration and hybridization with over low-carbon power sources to displace fossil fuels in applications beyond electricity generation in the housing, transportation and industry sectors.

The conjunction of the 21st Climate Change Conference and ICAPP, both taking place in France in 2015, provides an excellent opportunity to review advances in both fields and to reassess the potential of the best available nuclear technologies.
