Description:
From July 7th to July 8th, Brussels will be hosting the international annual event on Collective Awareness Platforms for Sustainability and Social Innovation.
There is a part of the Horizon 2020 research programme which is pioneering the potential of Internet networks for enabling new forms of collective awareness and action, fostering increased collaboration among citizens, with the ultimate goal of contributing to sustainability goals and creating social good. It is called CAPS – Collective Awareness Platforms for Sustainability and Social Innovation, and it is targeting new emergent areas such as the Circular economy, Collaborative making, Open Democracy, Open Policy Making, Social Entrepreneurship and Participatory Consumption.
To learn and contribute to these developments, you are warmly invited to the next networking event, on 7-8 July 2015, In Brussels. Its focus is on « Networked Social Responsibility », which we define as caring for the common good and fostering societal changes as immediate objective or direct consequence of one’s work or engagement. We look forward to welcome researchers, civil society organisations, industry players, policy makers, students, hackers and any other stakeholders truly interested in Social Collective Intelligence.
Its programme is partly crowd-sourced from the community through an Open Call opened until April 30 and reflecting the participatory and inclusive ambition of the event.
