Background:  To increase energy saving and emission reduction efforts, build smart cities, promote application of solar energy in buildings, and encourage architects and engineers to join hands and strike a balance between clean energy technology application and aesthetic appeal as well as buildings’ harmonious coexistence with ecological system, the Organizers of SNEC (2015) International Solar Energy and Green Building Conference have launched the 2015 Challenge Cup of Solar Building Design and Engineering (SBDE 2015)as a highlight of the Conference and practical application of the concepts and technologies advocated in the Conference.
