Human Brain Project Platform Release Event

First release of the Human Brain Project platforms during launch event, 30 March 2016 in Geneva. The release will contain components, services and tools and the launch event will be live web-streamed.

The Human Brain Project (HBP) is releasing the first components, services and tools of its six Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Platforms to the scientific community on 30 March 2016.

Reporting on Graphene Flagship and industrial partners at the Mobile World Congress 2016

The Graphene Flagship introduced a Graphene Pavilion at the 2016 Mobile World Congress (#MWC16 - #GrapheneMWC). Alongside co-exhibitors from industry and academia, the Flagship highlighted graphene in mobile applications, stretching from bendable batteries to new wearables sensors. FET Open: projects from second cut-off date have started

The second cut-off in H2020 of the FET Open call, on 31 March 2015, resulted in so far 13 new projects receiving funding, ten of them for Research and Innovation Actions (RIA) and three for Coordination and Support Actions (CSA). Ten of these projects have already begun, the rest will start soon. So far, together with the projects of the first cut-off date, work on 35 FET Open projects is well under way.

PRACE Summer of HPC 2016 opens for applications

PRACE Summer of HPC 2016 opens for applications 13 January 2016

 Early-stage postgraduate and late-stage undergraduate students are invited to apply for the PRACE Summer of HPC 2016 programme, to be held in July & August 2016. Consisting of a training week and two months on placement at top HPC centres around Europe, the programme affords participants the opportunity to learn and share more about PRACE and HPC, and includes accommodation, a stipend and travel to their HPC centre placement. Applications open 13 January 2016.
