The workshop will provide comprehensive information on transport emissions modelling, starting from the European legislative framework, through the analysis of current approaches to traffic and emission modelling.
The REM workshop has wide potential impacts on society and policy. In particular, expertise in transport and emissions modelling could foster a more robust evaluation of transportation policies and therefore would easily lead to social and environmental benefits - such as improved air quality (especially in urban areas) reduced GHGs emissions, and reduced social cost associated with traffic.
