A consortium of partners from Sweden, Netherlands and Spain is searching for a research oriented group working on actuators and textiles for flexible exoskeletons (“second skin”).
The FET-Open proposal envisions a new generation of intelligent and adaptive exoskeleton to support people performing complex and heavy work related tasks. The exoskeleton will enable these people to improve and/or prolong their (work)performance.
The consortium includes strong groups in sensing, processing of myo-electric signals, ergonomic competence and evaluation competence. Following competences are needed in actuators and textiles technology for insertion of actuation elements such as nylon or metal wires or other technologies related to artificial muscles and tendons.
