Interfaces, Content & Data at the ICT Proposers' Day 2016

A whole strand is dedicated to the subjects Interfaces, Content and Data at the ICT Proposers' Day 2016 which will take place in Bratislava on 26-27 September. Upcoming calls for proposals in these areas will be presented in 5 networking sessions, and related booths will offer further information opportunities for interested stakeholders.
 

ICT Proposers' Day 2016 will allow you to gather detailed information about the following:

  1. Big Data PPP

    The networking session will introduce H2020's LEIT-ICT 2016-2017 Big Data Work Programme, implementing the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda developed and proposed by the Big Data PPP:

  2. Media and Content Convergence

    The media and content sector is driven more and more by the use of technology and new business models, new ways of interaction, consumption and expression are appearing in the rise of the digital era. Europe's media sector is strong in creating content. It is embracing new technologies and investing in innovation to benefit from the digital market. However, the sector has to become even more tech savvy as competition is growing from global players that are particularly strong at technological innovation. The challenge is to make the best use of technology for reaching out to new audiences, adapting to the digital era and thriving in the connected Digital Single Market. With this in mind this session will present the call ICT 19 and will open the floor for you to discuss about potential project ideas and partnerships.

  3. Interfaces for Accessibility

    During this session ICT 23 Interface for Accessibility will be presented. Both the R&I action on interfaces and affecting computing for people with disabilities and the BCI actions will be explained in detail. In addition, the Innovation action on support tools for the assessment of compliance to web sites accessibility standards and guidelines will be spelled out.

  4. Technologies for Creative Industries

    During the networking session on ICT-20-2017, the Research and Innovation call on "Tools for smart digital content in the creative industries" will be presented, where research and innovation actions to maximise the potential for re-use and re-purposing of all types of digital content, will be funded.

    From this call, novel ways of digital content production and management in the creative industries are expected, such as advertising, architecture, performing and visual arts, craft, design, fashion, films, music, press, publishing, radio, TV and video games.

  5. European Cultural Heritage

    During the session European Cultural Heritage the call on European cultural heritage, access and analysis for a richer interpretation of the past will be presented. The main idea of the call is to research new technologies that will facilitate the search of digital object by allowing their identification. This topic could be summarized by the concept of closing the "semantic gap". By achieving this goal, we would allow a richer interpretation of our Cultural Heritage.
